At home when i cook for just me... I know its my hair because i live alone and have no one over inside, just out on my deck! I'd take it out and eat it!  IF i'm out eating, i'd most likely end up in the bathroom losing lunch in the toilet, I'D demand my money back!   :( >:( :(    thats what hair nets are for.

I work in the food industry and have to wear a hair net.  They are not full proof.  If someone has hair on there clothes or a net falls off loose hair has the potential to end up in food.  Other things to watch out for: fingernails and ew bandaids.  If a skin toned bandaid is worn in an establish it's a warning to me that food safety practices are not being enforced.  A bright colored bandaid should be worn so if it does fall into food it can easily be seen. I send my food back or get money back if hair or anything else for that matter is in it.

Moons ago I was a short order cook in a hospital. I can remember a Dr coming into the café telling the gal who made the sandwiches that he was in the bathroom throwing up because there was a hair in his sandwich. I had to laugh, because here is a Dr who can look at blood and God knows what else, but a hair made him sick. It just struck me funny lol

In a restaurant I would not hesitate to send the food back.  I would probably ask to see the manager to be sure he was aware.  If I were almost done with my food I would ask for a comped meal.   I know things happen but it's just no acceptable in a restaurant.

In the past, it grossed me out to find hair in my food. But since I have two shedding pets, I'm so used to hair/fur in my food, it doesn't bother me even when I'm out to eat. It's just hair. There are probably much worse things in your food that you don't even know about.

If it happens at home, I just take it out and eat, but outside of home, I would call the waiter or waitress and have it sent back.

I would not eat food that someone else prepared, unless I know it is me.

Too many crazy health issues to risk eating something after it was polluted with a hair or something.

If I find hair in food, I stop eating and throw it away. If I was in a restaurant, I won't bring it back. Instead, I would throw it away.

If that happened to me at a resturant the whole plate would go back

At home, since I have 2 dogs and a cat I find a hair in my food most days

If it is my hair, I know that it is clean so I just remove the hair and continue eating.  If at a restaurant it is sent back because I don't know whose hair it is and that is disgusting.
