have fun with it.

i let them do their spiel and then i say:
"well, why would i switch long distance providers when as soon as i hang up the phone, i'm going to kill myself....  that is, unless YOU can talk me out of it!"    :D

make THEM work for YOU!  :o

kidding, suicide isn't funny.  but it is fun to freak out the marketers.  it also probably is the highlight of their poor, boring, monotonous day   :icon_rr:

LOL..omg! That is sick but I like the way you think!! i would hate to have a job like theirs, I mean they do have to make a living also & that sucky job pays their bills. So why not make the call a little more spicey & inticing!!? lol  ;D
hehe.... but seriously, it would spice up their day!   ;D

i'm sure this has probably been said somewhere in the 8 pages of this thread, but if you don't want phone calls it's simple. just use an online voice mail number from k7.net
now when you get phone calls it'll just go straight to your email address instead.

i know a plethora of phone calls can be discouraging, and sometimes it'll drive someone to complete and utter madness. but this is the best way to avoid such a thing.

i have a magicjack for home/business uses and a cell phone.  i got comcast business internet 50 mbps which is FAST and have NEVER had an issue with magicjack...it helps!  $19.95/YR!  wow!!!! lol

hey harley...isn't magicjack only good to use with other magicjack subscribers?? I was seriously thinking of getting it until I saw that it only worked if other magicjack subscribers had it.

@kimber62372 - You can call ANYONE in USA/Canada for only $19.95...this is a VOIP based telephone, recommended NOT to use with a security alarm, etc.  You can plug your existing landline telephone into the standard telephone port on the magicjack device.  I have a 5 way splitter for 1 cordless, 1 office phone, 1 old corded phone, a fax, and an answering machine.
I have ways of making money that you know nothing of.

I have only received 1 phone call, and that was from some place that asked if I was interested in furthering my education. I said yes not realizing they would call me, but that was the only call i've ever received.

Ah yes annoying phone calls, i dont know about here as i am rather new but i know i get a lot of calls regarding other offers and stuff i have done, luckily i have an old tracfone, (and i do mean old, its a nokia 1100 model,) that i really only use for text messaging, and never turn the ringer on, that i give the number for when something wants a number, that way they get the satisfaction of calling someone and leaving an annoying message and i dont get bothered by it ;D... lol

I have also been called by sponsors also!   They will try to sell you anything and everything!   If your phone number is on the "DO NOT CALL LIST"...(goggle it for the website) they are not suppose to be able to call you!

I HEARD MAGIC JACKS DONT WORK
I heard that we did not auctually go to the moon too. However, I have had a Majic Jack for over 2 years and it works GREAT. There was a couple of small problems along the way, BUT went to their website and did what I was suposed to do and they were all fixed.

I bought the Majic Jack for $20.00 and a year's service for another $20.00. My second year of service was on $20.00 for ALL the local and Long Distance calls I want to make in the USA OR Canada to any phone number there. IF I go out of the country, I can hook my Majic Jack into my lap top and call anyone in the USA OR Canada who has a Majic Jack. PLUS you get FREE Voice Mail, Call Waiting and caller ID. Heck Voice Mail for $20.00 a year is GREAT by itself.

When giving your phone number in conjunction with completing many of these free offers you are giving the advertisers permission to call you.  If your name is on the no call list, it does not matter you will still get phone calls, because you are asking/giving them permission to call you by providing your contact info.  Many times this is indicated in the disclaimer.
