How do you compare to the best ?

I do that with different bugs sometimes. The only bugs I kill are stick bugs but the rest of them I usually put outside if they are in the house.

  I think that's a nice thing to do for little creature's of this world. I move bigger animals off the road, just cause I'd rather they have a chance. Plus I try not to run over any kind of animal while driving!

I am cursed with being a three point five person in all that I do except the family I have been blessed with. Above average income, drive, intellect, income producer, personality, looks, health, to name a few. Cumulative grade point in college was
 three point five. No matter how hard, or little I tried, I would get a grade of B. I can tell you what the average income, savings rate,and/or house value in my state is because I will be about ten percent higher.It is not a terrible problem to have. I have hired consultants that were able to get me up to being nearly an 'A' (four point zero) but focus on family would diminish to a lower grade. My family is my reward for hard work.  My family is the best, total four point zero, 'A' plus all the way. All that I do is for them.

I'm afraid I would have just walked past it and continued home.  You are thoughtful.  Do you treat other people with as much respect?  I imagine you do.

I do that all the time.  At my work there were these tiny little lizards that were running around on the sidewalk, and right near them one of their brothers had been stepped on and killed because someone just didn't notice them.  So I grabbed some gloves and a plastic cup, went out and carefully picked them all up and moved them to a safer area.

At a mini golf where I used to work, we had a pond near by and frogs would live there.  Well, occasionally they would get into the ball return box and be stuck there, no way to escape.  So whenever I would get the *bleep*, I would take a minute to look closely to see if there were any small frogs stuck in there and rescue them if there were.  Of course, they don't understand your intentions and then to panic when you save them, but they at least get out of there even if they are a little terrified by the experience.

My parents raised me to do this. Not because they are animal rights activists or anything like that. It was because they believed it was good for the grass because their digging and pooping in the soil was good for the grass.

       I would say that most would not think about picking up a worm. I think that is a nice thing for you to do. I would leave the worm and let nature take care of the worm.

I'm not picking up a worm for fishing or any reason    we always called them fishing worms not earth worms

Personally, I am all about getting turtles to the other side of the road before they get mashed on the road. Unless, of course, it's a snapping turtle. Don't want to lose a finger due to excessive kindness.

Sweet as that sounds, where I come from we gather a bunch off of parking lots and go fishing !

I have gone out of my way to help a bug, but I don't know that it makes me "the best". Then again if someone else is the best I guess by definition I am not as good, so that is how I compare!
