I live near a state park where the eagles come to nest this time of year. So if you drive up the river road to the park, you'll probably see them.

There are lots of people who go to the park this time of year to view the eagles.
They are absolutely majestic. :star:

I love seeing birds and animals that aren't usually found in my area too. One day we had a flock of humongous wild turkeys in our back yard that was fun to look at (but stay very far away from!) and I even enjoyed seeing a coyote in my neighborhood a couple weeks ago even though that is not such a good thing to find in suburbia.

This summer, we had a small flock of wild turkeys run through our backyard almost nightly.  Our grandson really got a kick out of that!

Fortunately we do have eagles in our area.  There is a nest close to us that our local tv stations keep an eye on.  We are currently waiting for two eaglets to take their first flight. :glasses-nerdy:

They are real rare where I live and in fact I only recently found out that we had any at all.  I saw one for the first time in my life recently.  An osprey was chasing it off.  It was a pretty cool moment for me.

We saw one this past Sunday when we were traveling to Lexington, KY for my grandson's 1st birthday party.  It was carrying something in its talons.
Have a wonderful day!
