Do you keep your bread in the refrigerator or in a breadbox on the counter ???    I hear it gets mold faster at room temperature...but goes stale faster in the refrigerator. :-\

I keep my bread in the fridge. I think it keeps much longer.

I keep bread in the Fridge.  When I leave it out, it spoils with mold.

I just leave it on the counter as long as I am going to eat it right away. If I am not going to eat it soon then I will freeze it.

We keep our bread out on the counter because there is almost never room to put it in the fridge. We try to eat it up as soon as possible, but when we don't, we just tear it up and leave it outside for birds.

Keep it in the frig, so there isn't any real way to keep bread fresh for days, if it is I would like to know.

This is what I do with my bread as I like it at room temperature.  However, if I am eating it slowly, I put it in the fridge.  I will say, if it is good bread, it doesn't sit around very long as I love really fresh, yummy bread!

Once it gets close to expiration date, I put in fridge and then freezer, which I think helps!

The current loaf being used is in the fridge. That keeps it fresher longer.

I have a few loaves in the freezer, and when I need a new one, I move it to the fridge.

Because it takes a while to defrost, the one from the freezer is put there a day before I need it.

This works well for me.

It depends on the type of bread.  Fortified breads will last forever outside the fridge ( Preservatives ) but non fortified should be kept in the fridge

I keep bakery bread on the counter instead of inside the bread box.  It doesn't stay fresh long as it full of preservatives.
If someone puts the bakery bread into the bread box, it spoils quickly in the darkness inside the box.

Store bread has preservatives so it doesn't mold very quick.

Of late I have been putting half on the counter and half in a freezer bag and in the freezer.  It is only me and my son and so bread getting thrown away is always a problem.  Sometimes I think it would be better just to not buy bread but I like a sandwich now and then or toast.

We used to keep bread in the microwave when it wasn't in use. Now we keep it in the fridge but only there a few days before finishing it and putting a new loaf in :)
