I highly suggest you remove the nine posts per 24 hour period limit for new members. It stopped me from posting several times this week and came up more than once a day because it goes by 24 hour periods.  So what if I make 10 or 12 posts a day?  It shouldn't matter. At least make it 20 posts per 24 hour period if you feel there has to be a limit.

I'm not really understanding what you are trying to say here MATTYG. If you could clarify, that'd be great! I admit I am playing catch up, it's been a pretty crappy month for me and I haven't had the time to do my postings.

You have an entire month to post just like anyone else even as a new member i dont see an issue with it. The Rules in place to prevent new people from abusing the 30 for money in the last day. Its more then fair

I find it tough to deal with too. I enjoy posting and have a severe hearing loss that limits me socially. I can't use the phone or anything like that, so social media is my phone. It's where I enjoy interacting with others,because I have so much trouble hearing socially.

I usually only post about 5 or 6 times in a day, sometimes none. I've never had a message that said I couldn't post anymore, but then again I was a member of FC for quite awhile before I even did any forum posting.  I read posts, but didn't make any comments. I try to be helpful, but not sure many really some of the "helpful" posts.

Apologies for the question if it sounds insensitive, but does your hearing loss result in any difficulty speaking?


I ask because my mother has hearing issues in some situations and uses hearing aids.  Because of that, she qualified to get a telephone with a large screen on it that works like the closed captioning on a TV channel.  It still operates like a normal phone with a handheld receiver that you speak into and hear out of, but there is a short delay and the words from the person talking on the other end are transcribed on the screen.


So using it, she can talk normally, but gets a little extra translation for the stuff she cannot hear clearly.

If this is actually a rule it should be for everyone not just new members. I am sure everyone at one time or other realized they hadn't posted in awhile and then posted numerous times in one day. Personally I don't know what difference it makes. If you need to post 30 times in a month, why make restrictions?
