I had used Norton for years, I had a computer problem and the local computer geek who fixed it recommended Avast,  It must be 6 or 7 years I have been using it, it has done a great job (with Norton I did pick up a couple of issues)

Well, I got an answer to my ticket about it, basically said it could be a false positive like someone here said, but they referred to surveys, and I am not getting the notice on surveys. It's mostly on the sponsor ads in the paid to click and it's the same site every time. mcj.safeharborlinked dot com. So I'm not fretting about it anymore, I hope it's all good!!

No, I have not encountered signs of malware whenever I do the daily PTC. I always run a full scan checking for any viruses before I open my browser to do Fusion Cash.

I have that problem with Avast, too.  I usually pick the same sponsor and it never happened before, then all of a sudden after the 1st of the year, I started getting the malware warning.  I just close it and go on, and I always get credit for clicking on that sponsor, so I don't know what is happening.

An interesting thing happened this morning.  When I was doing the daily email, I filled out the captcha to go  to the "Mommy Page" and got the malware warning.   Weird.  Got my .02, though!  :)

Yesterday, I had a terrible problem with my computer. It became unusable. I have an Apple and have Apple Care. I am still under warranty.

Apple Care was wonderful and was by my side over the phone. They were hoping to save me having to go to the Apple Store because I am a senior citizen with health issues who does not drive.

My problems began about 8:30 a.m. and was finally resolved around 5:30 p.m. I was forewarned that I was going to lose some information which I did.

I am registered with many sites which includes Fusion Cash. I register for a lot and I click on a lot.  I am certain that I brought this problem on myself.

Be careful with what you are clicking on, registering for, signing up for.

My Apple Care expires in June and if something like this happens after June, I am going to have to bring a large desktop to the Apple Store and pay money to have it fixed or even be forced to buy a new computer.

I am going to be much more cautious with what I sign up for.

That is weird, as I never get the warning for the Mommy page. Still get it every day for the sponsor ads on the PTC though.

You are so right BostonPhil, some things you click on can cause absolute chaos on a computer!! Thank goodness though some websites are starting to keep some of these bad ads or click bait ads at a minimum. It stinks when you gotta take your computer in to be cleaned from a virus or whatnot.

One more thing.

When I click on any of the sponsors on PTC, I now get something totally different that the sponsor. I mostly get something about Flash and updating my Flash. This has been happening on all three sponsors for days if not weeks.

I have been getting this Update Flash page a lot on other sites also as well as pop ups and drop downs.

I eventually clicked on and did what i thought was an update but I continued to get this message. I think this is what screwed up my computer.

Since my computer crashed yesterday and got eventually all fixed up, I am not getting it. I am not getting a lot of junk that I was getting and my computer is so much faster.

Oh that is too weird!! I have gotten that flash update message before too, but not on FC I don't think. And whenever I went to update it, it said it was already updated to the latest version, so now I just ignore it.

This has been happening to me for about a week now.  My antivirus blocks the site and gives me the message about the malware threat.
