I can't for the life of me figure out why the company that makes Tide hasn't just stopped making those pods (other that they are making gobs of money off them, of course!). They present such a danger to families, they really should be taken off the market altogether.

Seriously?  WHY should Tide stop making a product that makes them a ton of money? It does not present a danger to families.  People are friggin stupid.  No, it should not be taken off the market just because people are stupid.  Pretty sure it has had a warning on it from the start that says not to eat it.  If you are stupid enough to eat them then you deserve to die.

They don't care.  Just like using drugs.  They don't care.  I honestly thing the world as a whole has crossed the point of no return.  We have gone too far and there is no going back to sanity.

It's a terrible idea to be sure. But some kids will get into things that seem "cool" in the media or because of peer pressure from friends. Truly one of the best things parents can do for their children is to encourage them to think for themselves and be independent. It leaves them less vulnerable to foolishness like this.
