There are a few anxiety issues that can affect people.  The thing is being able to handle it or get help if too severe.

Brian, you have already been given some good options.  Anxiety is often helped by regular exercise (it releases good endorphins), meditation, yoga, mindfulness, and any enjoyable distractions that interest you.  Why don't you try some of these?  Also, cognitive therapy might be helpful.  It centers on re-training your thought processes.

I've tried cognitive therapy. It frankly did nothing, but may have been the therapist. Exercise I'm willing to try.

I have anxiety and depression. It is hard to deal with at times. The way I deal with mine is I would go online and listen to waterfalls and beaches and picture myself there. I also draw pictures and I meditate.

I'm sorry you have had this problem.  I have had one anxiety attack and can't imagine feeling like that more often.  If your meds aren't working, perhaps you should discuss it with your doctor.

Why do so many take the drug route to deal with problems  ? I've never known anyone who uses(used drugs )for life problems and it all worked out for the good.Deal with your problems w/o drugs because the drugs you take do not fix anything.

I agree. What has made me really mad is that my neurologists wanted to put me on a different anti-seizure medication I would take for epilepsy just because of my syncope spells from anxiety! Syncope is not a type of seizure!
