What do you eat on New Years day?

Every New Years day I make a big pot of bean soup with the left over Christmas ham and make a big pan of cornbread with diced onions in the cornbread.....yummmmmmmmmmmmm 

Food.  This year we had pizza.  Nothing specific or special.

Some time's I would eat left overs from the night before or anything that come's to mind, that's in the cabinet. If I don't feel like anything from home I would go out some place!

This year seems to be just another day here. Christmas and Thanksgiving cost much here.

We do a pot luck at church, the Puerto Ricans do their food, Mexicans do their food, Columbians theirs and so on. What ever we want to eat we go to there station.

Whatever I can find in the fridge.  I know a lot of people cook huge meals for New Years day.  That is not for me.

I always ate seafood especially shrimps in the new year. As an Asian we believe its lucky and we don't eat chicken on a first day of a year.
