I'd rather bike or hike than jog any day.  Even outdoor walking over jogging.  My knee's have so many years of wear and tear on them that the added pounding just irritates them more than anything.  After a month in a half of p.t. for them I've pretty much decided jogging just isn't designed for me like I once thought it was.  Maybe if I loose another 10 lbs. I feel differently about it again.

I like to ride my tricycle instead of walking because I walk inside my house. I garden in my backyard always. I count doing house work exercise right!

Gardening is a good workout, especially when it comes to digging, turning compost, etc. I never go to gyms. Artificial exercise seems aggravatingly pointless.

I go for a run or play outside with my kids a couple of days a week. I also watch workout videos on youtube  and dance to music when I am really not in the mood but need to do something. My favorite songs always get me up and moving.

Working in a store are my exercise. Walking whole of my shifts everyday.

Not in any way now, really, unless I'm walking to and from the store! I get a significant amount of movement doing household chores daily, but I know that's not enough. I go in and out of phases where I exercise heavily, but have been "out" since probably September or October.

Walk to and from work, go to the gym (once in awhile), and tai chi. At work, I try to take the stairs instead of the elevator.

I ride the stationary bike at the gym 30 minutes three times a week, since I get free membership with my medical insurance.

I have a free membership with my insurance as well, which is great, but my hours are so erratic at work that I rarely manage to go. And I don't really like to go when it's packed with other people. It seems too chaotic.

However, I love to take walks in the state park near my home. It feels great to walk outdoors, smell the fresh air and see the beautiful sights while I'm climbing the hills.

I belong to 24Hour Fitness, so it hardly ever gets crowded and particular time. Walking outdoors is more of a problem in Oregon, since it's usually raining.

I also go to 24 Hour, they get really crowded around here all the time.  They are opening a new one about 4 times as big near me, I am going to check it out.  The one I use to go to it was such a hassle having to wait to do anything.  They quit having child care too which is a hassle because I want a 2 year old most of the time.  We go for lots of walks.

I enjoy walking but lately I've been pushing mom in a wheelchair three times a week for dialysis.

I have a 3.2 mile route in my town that I try to run at least 4 times a week and I love it because I get to see the same streams, ponds and flowers and watch them change over time. I wouldn't be able to run on a treadmill in a gym because I would miss the natural sights I see way too much and I would lose motivation pretty quickly that way. The running is also beneficial to other people because I use the app called Charity Miles on my phone which tracks how far I run and pays $0.25 a mile to my favorite charity. It's a whole Win-Win situation.

In the spring, summer and fall, I walk outside.  Once the snow falls, I head for the gym and work out on the elliptical  and treadmill.
