Oh no! What is happening to you is one of my biggest fears. I am on disability, and it's hard to make ends meet.

If it weren't for my best friend, Scott, of 27 years, I often wonder if I would end up at a shelter.

Have you contacted the Salvation Army? Most have a center in about every city of every state. It will at least give you and your parents warm beds for the night.

Also contact Catholic Charities to see if they can offer assistance.

I would donate money if I could, but I am on disability, and I simply do not have it. I am killing myself on here just to help pay my own bills so Scott doesn't have to.

I know this may not matter, but take comfort that you do have your parents.

I'd say that I'll pray for you, but frankly, I'm not sure there's anyone listening. But for you, I will do it anyway.

Just in case . . .

You are going to pray and in the same breath say you are not sure anyone is listening? Then why bother praying. If you pray and don't believe God is real then you are wasting your time.  Just sayin'.

Kaat a lot of us feel that way when we pray. The TRUE God says HE will hear the prayers of the righteous ones and detests the prayers of the wicked. But also remember the prayer must be addressed to HIS name and said in harmony with his will in Jesus name.Jesus condemned the Pharisees that kept repeating themselves and also wanted to be seen when praying. He said they chant over and over thinking the many words they use they will get a hearing. Also when they wanted to be seen Jesus said they are getting their reward in full from that.

I really hope this is going to be a temporary fix too... thinking one has extended family or friends, and that people do not care about helping hurts...... but ultimately can make you stronger too...
I really hope you will find a solution soon... and that nonetheless you will be able to manage and that you won't loose your hope and positivism... things WILL get better!

the libraries have internet access.
you can write down you password, unless you know it by heart.
I read that there will be vending machines provided for the homeless.
NYC is the first city to get them.
The idea came from England, I think.

So sorry to hear that.  Can you get wifi at a library with a laptop?  Don't know if that's against the TOS here.  Also, I don't know where you live but, my husband hasn't had a job for over 2 years now, and, can't get one, so we've been scraping by on the occasional temp job and uber.  Don't know if that would be a possibility for your family but, we haven't lost the house yet.  I, also, have physical issues that make it difficult to find something I can do and, now, am having trouble again and will need quite a bit of medical stuff this year.  Will pray for your family.

Not that I want to leave but it looks like I'm going to have to. As of 12/26/17 my family and I will be living out of our cars. Extended family doesn't want to take us in and other assistance is non-existent right now with it being Christmas. I've been sharing my go fund me page and posted a plea on youtube but it looks like the worse is going to happen. Anyway, even though I haven't talked to a lot of you one and one over the years I've gotten to know a little bit about all of you through your posts. It's sad to think about not being able to come on here anymore but I just wanted to say it's been fun and I'll miss you guys.

Hello! :D :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation, I hope it is for only a short time. Hopefully in 2018 things looks better for you and you are better able to get out of your situation. I will be praying for you and your family. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:   :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

I can not grasp this at all.  HOW can he not find a job ANYWHERE in two years? That doesn't make sense at all. He may have to take a job he feels is beneath him or take something he doesn't want to do. But you are obviously getting money from some where because if neither of you are working and have not for 2 years then somebody is paying the bills.

I had a friend and her husband was out of work ... He had been a Bank President and refused to take a lower type job.. 7 years and they wiped out all their saving because of his childish dreams, It was interesting to watch, she was out cleaning houses and her daughter worked for me on my farm cleaning stalls and feeding animals when I was gone.. seems the girls had the right idea and DAD laid on his behind watching TV... I don't feel sorry for people like this, the guy i mean! He did end up getting back to the banking business but they had to move across the country BROKE !
