Regarding Long Surveys
« on: December 20, 2017, 02:28:11 pm »
I completed a survey for another site today.  it was long, relevant and interesting but long and did not pay very much. It did credit.  :)

I have noticed that many of the surveys that are very long seem to be two or three surveys for the price of one. The topics vary greatly and are not related. The topics could stand alone as individual surveys with demos.

Well, at least it did credit.

sometimes it's hard to know how long they will be, but I take surveys when I know I have plenty of time and every penny does count

Bostonphil, I can identify with what you are saying.  You can answer dozens of questions about one topic, then the questions change to a completely unexpected new topic.  When surveys go on and on like that, my brain gets fried and I don't even want to continue, but after investing that much time, I don't want to quit without getting any credit at all.

Yes, we have to play the hand we are dealt with.

That's the main thing you got paid.

It's reasons like that that I don't participate in long surveys very often, if at all. It's not worth spending that much time with my current schedule.

For this survey, there was no way to tell that it was going to be as long as it was.  it kept going on and on and on. There was no progress bar and often even if there is, they are often not reliable or helpful. I could not recall if there was any information as to how long the survey was supposed to be when I began it but that too is often not reliable nor dependable.

Agree. I had invested a lot of time into the survey and it kept going on and on. At least, it was in interesting and I did get credited.

That's the main thing you got paid.

I was concerned that I might submit and get a "sorry" but fortunately I did get paid.  I would have been very angry and unhappy if I had not. However, the pay was also very little for the length of the survey and the time that it took.

I mainly focus on short surveys. I only do longer surveys if I have time or if the topic is interesting. Other than that, I just focus on the shorter ones.

As long as we get credit for short or long surveys that is all the matters!

I was working on a long survey for another site just yesterday.  After what was about 15 to 20 minutes, I was told that the quota was full.   >:(  No credit, no DQ bonus, no soup for me.

I don't think anybody has ever had that happen to them before.  LOL  :silly:

After logging out of that site in a bit of a huff, I came back to Fusion Cash and completed a survey and my ptc.

Life is good again.  :)

I have had it happen that I spent a very long time on a survey like 20 minutes or more, completed and submitted, only to get a sorry and that I was over quota or did not meet the profile.

This has happened to me on all my sites, not just FC.

This has happened to me so many times I can not even count! I'm not sure why people in the survey world are so surprised by this! Until there is a law against this it will keep on happening
