Christmas is a great time to surprise your neighbors or friends with a little something.

I agree, I think we should spread joy, love and peace. That is better than any gift, show someone you care and share some laughter and a smile. Merry Christmas.

That would be awesome, but I don't know my neighbors too well. They moved in recently.

Every year we bake cookies  and send over a plate from dinner for both of neighbors as one is elderly and the other is a single guy in 30's and neither one really cooks or bakes.

Last Christmas was our first in this house but we knew our 85 year old neighbor from years of visiting my in-laws here so when my 2 youngest granddaughters made pumpkin spice cookies here I had them take some over to her.  She was impressed with how the cookies tasted and the fact that those 2 little girls baked them.  This year she brought us a homemade, delicious fruitcake!  I've made a special hot chocolate mix that I'm going to have the girls take to her this year.  She's such a sweet lady and very active for her age.

I had to scold someone once for doing something nice for me in the middle of June!

There's never a bad day to surprise someone with a thoughtful gift.
