Christmas traditions

Do yall have any Christmas traditions like baking cookies the night before for Santa? We always build a ginger bread house together  and bake cookies for Santa.

We never had traditions.  When my girls were little they wanted to put out cookies for santa but we didn't have to bake it ourselves.  For a few years we would read from the bible together after opening our gifts.

No, we have never really had any traditions. For me there are certain movies I watch every year. You know like the Peanuts Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

When my kids were little, we baked cookies for Santa together. We also had a family gathering on Christmas Eve where my parents came to visit. There were 5 kids in my family and my parents had to visit all of us between Christmas eve and Christmas Day. I always made Lasagna Christmas Eve lol

Being retired and miles away from our children, our Christmas traditions are memories.  Sad but true.  We now just relax together and enjoy the birth of our Lord together.

Christmas Eve is spent with my side of the family at my sister (now that our parents are gone) and then Christmas Day I have dinner for both sides of the family at our house but everyone brings a dish to share.

Funny I was just thinking of this when I picked my son up from work last night.  When I was a kid we had a lot Christmas traditions such as going out several times during the holidays to see Christmas lights  my dad would put out the gifts for us on Christmas Even while my mom took us to our favorite restaurant (every year a different excuse why my dad was running late) and chocolate covered cherries my dad would buy a ton of them it was our "Christmas" candy.
