Holy Cow! Matt Lauer FIRED!

NBC announced it this morning. Evidently, there was a complaint from a co=worker about inappropriate behavior and supposedly they did an "extensive investigation" which led to him being fired.

I just caught a very little on the news this AM,  not shocked at all!  It's about time these perverts get called out~  Keep your nasty thinking and hands off !!  Al these over paid people need to be a little humble and not jerks with fat wallets!

It makes me wonder if we will have any males in the entertainment business.   I hate it because I have always admired and respected Matt Lauer.  I also think it was completely unprofessional that NBC told the staff about 5 minutes before they went on the air.  Not defending Matt in that statement, just think it was unprofessional and a lack of respect in treating the other hosts.   They did an admirable job when they announced it.  I did feel for Savannah Guthrie, it has to be a difficult situation for those on the staff that love and care about Matt.

I don't know what it is with men in power, they just  seem to get into trouble, Do they think because they have money and  power over young women that they can do whatever. I will tell about one of my run in with a  high power lawyer, When I was young, slender, raising a child divorced  and also going to school. He kept putting his hands on me and every time I told him not too he would just laugh it off as being  friendly. One day in the  restaurant where I was working  he got  just a little too friendly.  As I was serving the water before the coffee got there I reached across the table to set a glass down and he pinched me hard on the buttocks , Well the glass landed in his lap and as he stood up I decked him and he landed on his rump. Came up threatening to sue me. Well just happens the district Attorney and the assistant were with him and they both told  no he wasn't because they saw what happened.  But he did get  fired (no big deal just went and got a  better job). Now women have some rights not so back then.

There were always rumours that he cheated on his wife multiple times, but clearly NBC had too much evidence on their hands to fire him in a matter of hours for one complaint.  Then you read the articles that were being worked on for months and you have to wonder how much NBC was covering him.

I am glad that it is coming out. It isn't just women though. Terry Crews was accosted as well. Dwilley11's response was hilarious in relation to the liberals! I am thinking D was joking about the liberals? The abused are coming out of the woodwork since the Don became president. There are some that believe he took the position in order to gain immunity from all of the women that have come out against him. I saw that he was calling the video (where he said "Grab'm by the #$%%@") fake news, even though he had previously apologized for it. I am surprised that Franken and Moore are not stepping down. Piven being let go in relation to the scandals, even though he passed a lie detector test, is interesting. I wonder how people paid to act fair on lie detector tests. I was shock to see the news this morning.  On one hand, I'm glad these sickos are being exposed and removed from power.  On the other hand..it's 2017 and men in power still treats women like objects.  It's such a depressing reminder that so many women are either being ignored when they report abuse or too scared to report abuse.
