I more so like the idea of changing what I am doing year round to make sure I don't need the extra money around the holidays.

If it is something you can work out, then go for it; you know best what works best for you and what you need in your budget, during the holiday season you may be able to find something that is seasonal and fits your schedule. Happy hunting!

I had a  part-time job at a retail with set hours, then I worked full time at a restaurant  , money was great there. But I was also  going to school 2 days a week.  I wanted to get into management at the retail store, But  I needed the schooling. Took me awhile  what with only  2 days. But I got it, got the job as management and quit the other.  Once in awhile I work on my days off at the restaurant when then owners wanted to go somewhere.  They  trusted me to  take care of everything which made me  feel good. I will say it was a little rough at times.

Just be careful.  I thought a part time holiday job would be fun last year -- it was horrid.  The folks I worked with were great, but I think the overall attitude of retail management towards holiday "help" is "lets see how much these guys can take" (at least where I worked).  I would never, ever do it again.  I am too old and respect myself too much.  I am not saying all part time or even all retail jobs are this way -- that was just my experience!

I already have regular 2nd job.  I'm not looking for a 3rd job.

Had a second job in retail a couple of years ago and it was a nightmare. Never had time to get my own things done and people seemed to get more rude as Christmas approached.  They made you think it was your fault that they waited until the last minute to shop and everything was picked over and out of stock.  Never again!!!

Sometimes having a second job is a must to pay bills, buy gifts and so forth.  Times are hard and most people are short of money.

Getting a second job is probably the worst thing I could do to myself right now. The extra money would be nice, but I think it would burn me out after a few weeks.

I've considering looking for a second job at times.  My current work schedule would make finding something very
difficult.  My husband also tells me that it would be kind of crazy to add to my current load....
Plus, I would miss out too much time with my grandkids who live with us.

Yikes, it is time to leave for my job as I type this post........see you all later.

Fusion Cash gives a little extra cash.  But you do have to be with it for a while to make it worth your time.

I really can't get a second job. Between my full time job being a wife and a mother of four kids there is no more room for a second job

If you're able to handle it just go for it.  I'm a caregiver for my mom and extra jobs never cross my mind because I'm busy enough.  If anything I would be trying to spend money by going on a mini vacation.
