I'm thinking of getting one Christmas approaching. How about you? The extra money would be great.

I need make more money but not to buy xmas presents.  It's hard for me to get a second job because of my current work schedule.  Luckily we signed a new contract and got raises so I'll just try to pick up more hours.

I did that last year, got a minimum wage retail job for "extra" money. It ended up taking hours away from my real job where I make decent $$ so in the end I stretched myself thin and made a little less money. Good experience but I won't plan on that again.

My husband keeps threatening to get a 2nd job.  I told him that he better not.

Not me, I'm way too busy to think about it.

If you can take on the extra hours,  go for it.

I worked a full-time job and a part=time job for several years after I got a divorce because I needed the extra money to pay my bills.  It was hard, but I made it through.

I too have been contemplating the aspect of a 2nd job.  So much so I've put my application in at a few places.  I'm contemplating if it would be worth it... I make a decent wage - I get a decent amount of hours so I shouldn't be greedy.  I'm learning how to coupon/redeem paypal rewards with my smartphone and starting to walk to work more often to save in fuel costs.  I think by cutting a few more corners and continuing to make a few extra bucks here on FC is the way to go... rather killing myself and in the end making potentially less and missing out on what little family time is available with only one job as it is.
