I generally check to see if I've posted before on a familiar post. I don't mind posting again on the same topic, though. I've done that a few times.

It might have happened a few times accidentally to me. I know for sure that I have opened up the same topic multiple times and decided I had nothing more to say.

I have almost done that a few times. Now there is the one thread, "what made you smile today", I comment on that one more than once.

Yes..I have done that, but rarely. I try not to respond to the same post. Whenever it gets long, I usually dont respond.

Several times. Especially the "what made you smile today" post.  I think it's ok though because I have different reasons to smile each day so it's still contributing without copying the same thing over and over again.
