Have you ever found out that someone had a crush on you years ago?

Now that I'm too old to bother, I wonder what would have happened if I had wound up married to one of 4 guys I just found out had a crush on me back in high school and still do.  Does anyone else ever wonder about that? 

Of course, I'd never do anything about it since I wouldn't want to burden anyone else with my health problems so if anything would happen to my husband, I'd be okay to live alone the rest of my life, but I often wonder how my life would have turned out differently.

Maybe you should let them decide if your health problems are a burden, it may surprise you.

I had a good friend in high school who was a very short young man. I was a tall woman.

We were good friends, and trusted each other.

I found out many years later he had told his mom that if I had been shorter (much), or he had been taller, he would have pursued this ....and ask me out.

It was a sweet compliment. I had no idea.

well I had that happen a few times kind of surprised me. one was a boy a year younger than me. we also resembled one another. the funny thing is we lived across the street, rode the same bus, went to the same church, they kept wanting to take him home with us. they thought he was my brother LOL!  I learned he had a crush on me.

then of course at church a single assitant pastor at a church we attended the pastor made it known his assitant pastor has a crush on me. I felt really bad he was embarrassed but he said no I told the pastor I really liked you and that was the opening line. good thing we just remained friends. because I am his sister in law. LOL

A guy told me that he wanted to ask me for my phone number years ago.  But he didn't.  He was going to later and then he said it was like I dropped off the face of the Earth and he never saw me again.  And he said he did look for me.  I say he didn't look hard enough. haha

Yes many years ago and i moved around alot years ago so i never saw from that person.

Well.. if all 4 still have a crush on you... why don't you pick one?? (If still single?)   

Try to enjoy your life and let someone else decide if you'd be a burden for them or not...

I don't think my husband would want me to pick one right now.  

It does makes me wonder what life would have been like with someone else. I've know my husband for 52 years. Started as friends but my dad wasn't happy that we wanted to get married and he wanted me to be independent with a career "just in case." So, he sent me 100 miles away to tech school and during that time, hubby went to NY to his relatives. We didn't see each other for 2 years after both of us married someone else almost at the same time, had a son almost the same time, and got divorced almost at the same time. A friend got us back together and we never separated again. Even my dad came around. We will be married 48 years next Memorial Day (so we wouldn't forget but we always do forget the anniversary date).

The guy that had a crush on me many years ago has been my now husband for over 22 years! If I found out someone from high school used to have a crush on on me I would be flattered and I would just laugh.

No - But I have heard that one of my boy friends wishes he hadn't broken off with me.  OH WELL - too late now!  I am much happier with the way my life turned out
