President Trump has said this is a health problem not a gun problem. True the guy was off but how easy was it for him to get the guns.Do you think  guns are two easy for people to obtain?

Changing the 2nd ammendment is not going to change things.

People with evil intentions can always get a gun.  They are readily available illegally, unfortuanately.

Sadly, I think it is easier to obtain guns by illegal methods than legal ones. We do need to do more with regards to Mental Health in this country. But the person with the illness has to want to receive help.

A health problem?  Or a mental health problem?  He was not mentally ill.  I just read where it was a domestic.  He was after his mother in law and his wife.  It was an ongoing problem.  No, I don't think guns are too easy to get.  Not for the law abiding citizen anyway.  And banning guns is not the answer.  A law abiding citizen who owned a gun stopped the shooting.  The shooter was not finished and only stopped because someone (the good guy) with a gun stopped him.

And I have not seen where Trump said anything about it being a "health" problem or any thing else.  I know a lot of idiots are blaming Trump for this.  But yet the same idiots did not blame obamer for all the shootings that happened while he was in office.

Did you not see where a few weeks ago a man drive his truck thru a bike trail and killed 8 people?  So I guess we need to ban trucks.  Using the thinking of banning guns because people use them to kill people we would have to.  Also ban pressure cookers.  Remember the guy who used one to make a bomb?  People, evil people, will always find a way to kill others.

I disagree.  We don't have a mental health problem.  We have a generation of coddled snot nosed babies who were never punished or told no.  They get out in the real world and don't get everything they want and they can't handle it.  And people know that they can do what ever they want and get out of it on a "mental health" thing and they won't be punished.  I am glad that guy shot this freak in the stomach.  I am glad he is dead.  He took 26 innocent lives and wounded over 20 more.  He did not deserve to be in jail for 50 years because he had a "mental health" problem.

Another senseless killing.  In my city yesterday a man just killed his girlfriend because she didn’t want to marry him.  I don’t have the answer, but we have to stop these stupid killings.

My heart and prayers go out to all the families affected by this senseless crime. However, on the gun issue no matter what the laws state these kind of crimes will continue. They will get their hands on guns no matter what, they will get them.

Someone I've known for about 10 yrs. was writing in real time about this incident on Facebook -- he lives with wife and child out in the country where he works and trains horses -- just 20 miles away from this church, hearing the sirens.  He was distraught about the incident occurring in a house of worship where the usual habit would be to leave your guns, rifles, etc. in your vehicle or at home -- not on your person.  He knows this incident is not about being for or against the 2nd Amendment, but personal safety.

Bottomline is that this is heartbreaking.  I've since heard about this being a domestic issue; it made me shudder.  Please pray for this community.

I don't even know. I feel like people can still get guns either way. It is horrible. You cannot go anywhere anymore and feel safe.

I think people who are hell bent on doing this type of thing will find a gun to accomplish their goals by hook or by crook. However, that does not mean we should not pass some common sense regulations regading bump stocks, background checks, closing the gun show loop, etc.
