I think my kids had a better handle on this subject than I. I just paid for mine, I told them with this money that I earned for the wake I told them just to have a party about me. Even when they were young, I told them to prepare for what they would wish for to be at the wake for your mourners heartfelt memories of you. I don't have the family plot, I must think about that one. Are you prepared? Even the young bloggers here you can pay for it now and don't go overboard if ya don't want too. I paid for my flowers so you don't have too lol. Is there a invitation card for this? Do you have a plan? Have a gr8 day

That's kind of heavy to be thinking about but definitely don't want my kids to waste money on funeral cost.

Truly a shame how the undertakers prey on the vulnerability of those living that have lost a loved one with the cost of this.

Jesus did say to mourn with those that mourn.Some cost should come into play,but its ridiculous what you see.I remember when my wifes dad died and we went to pick out his coffin.I thought when undertaker was showing them to us he was a used car salesman.

The God of the bibles name is Jehovah and the bible says HE is a God of the living NOT the dead.Also remember what Jesus said when you know the truth.It sets you FREE from all the other nonsense and superstitions that go at wakes and funerals.

Good grief.I would rather just enjoy November 1st.

I have already given my kids instructions, at a time when it fit the conversation.

I am not going to devote a whole day to focus on my death.

So many ways to plan your funeral as a celebration of your life.  I think I want my ashes to be incorporated into a tree!

Not sure what we're suppose to do on this kind of day.   After my father died and we, along with our mom, had to go through the entire process of planning a funeral, my mom decided she would not put all of us kids through the ordeal.  I went with her and she planned and paid for her entire funeral.   When we lost our mom, years later, I remember how thankful we were that she had organized everything.   There were no decisions that needed to be made.

Being in the funeral business. I see grieving families and I see social families. I do my part in making the situation good for the family. As for pre arranging, I just live for today. I don't think about the long distant future

It's best to put everything in writing so it will be clear what you wishes are and no one will have to try and remember details.
