trimming trees
« on: October 21, 2017, 07:29:29 am »
is part of the landscapers business.
they don't trim them all the time.
sometimes, you'd like to be able to see beyond the trees.
I saw bees in the palm trees for a while.
I have been living here a year and only saw them once for a few weeks.
They are gone now.

My husband is obsessed with trees and does all the tree trimming. No dead branch remains in our trees.

My husband has trimmed some of our trees but what's left to do is too high up for him to do and we don't know any tree trimmers that are very reasonable.  One of our neighbors bull pine trees got struck by lightning and she had it and another big tree cut down.  While they were there my husband had them cut some overgrown stuff down part of our fence line but much more needs doing.

Our trees seem to trim themselves by blowing down dead branches in the wind!

My gardeners charge extra to specifically trim trees.   They do trim & shape the bushes & hedges once a month.  I pay an extra $5 a month for them to shape my hedges while they are growing out.

I don't have trees or bushes but my neighbors do and they blow into my yard.

I trim away all branches that get too close to my roof top, gutters, neighbor's property or impeded a pretty view. Once every two years, or so, I will trim out all of the sucker/small branches that have begun to grow off of the main trunk. I also thin out heavier branch growth in the middle of the tree so that the tree is not choked out. Every year we have tons of dead branches due to untimely snow storms that can hit in Colorado at any time of the year. The trees generally have seventy five percent of their foliage by mid-May and when those storms hit in May the snow sits on the leaves and creates too much weight which leads to branches breaking. I have a huge dead Aspen on the side of my house that will have to come down within the next year but I will need a new chainsaw for that.

Having trees trimmed is so expensive. You really don't consider that when you plant a new little tree, how fast it's going to grow and how big it's going to get.
