They always will be that way. They go in alphabetical order and they skip the same letters every year. And I am not sure what "HIM" you are trying to blame this on. Surely you can not be stupid enough to be blaming the hurricanes on Trump. Smh. And yes, there are some who have said he made it happen.
Geez! What is your problem! I was simply making a funny ironic observation/joke and offering something that might cause a bit of a chuckle among members!
How, where, and when is there
any even remote reference to Donald Trump in my remarks? Do you ever re-read what you are responding to before you shoot off your replies? I seriously wonder...
Have
other people blamed Trump for things that are clearly not his fault or doing? Absolutely. But you have never and will never see that co
ming from me, and I have no idea what reason you have to think I am trying to draw some sort of Trump connection here. I even concluded with a negative remark about people trying to politicize the hurricanes. So no, countrygirl, rest assured that I am not stupid enough to be blaming the hurricanes on Trump. To insinuate that
I am stupid based upon your own mistaken conclusion of what you assume was my intention (without any tiniest bit of evidence to support that asinine assumption) is the real smh moment here.
Since it appears things need to be fully spelled out for you, here is my
"hidden agenda" behind the comment:
The first syllable of the word 'hurricane', although not spelled that way, phonetically sounds like the word 'her' - making 'hurricane' a female sounding word. So far this year, we have had three particularly bad hurricanes, which happened to be named Harvey, Irma, and Maria. There have been several other hurricanes this year: "Arlene, Bret, Cindy, (I will not mention the hurricane named for D out of fear that I will be accused of some sort of political bias), Emily, Franklin, Gert, Jose, Katia, Lee, Nate" as there are every year (regardless of whether there is a Democrat or a Republican in the white house). This year the 8th, 9th, and 13th storms in particular caused a lot of havoc and destruction. (That is not to belittle or ignore the people who suffered tremendous losses due to the 1st through 7th, 10th through 12th, and 14th through the end of the season storms).
In my own twisted mind of ironic observations (having nothing to do with politics or any other influences outside of the irony of how our alphabet is put together) I saw that those more newsworthy storms had the initials H.I.M. - it just happened that way out of chance and I thought in my own (apparently stupid) mind that it would be a clever little joke to note that the worst "HER-icanes" (I intentionally spelled that incorrectly there to help overstress my play on how the word sounds) of 2017 to date spell out the word HIM by their name initials. It made me chuckle, which maybe says something about the simple minded things that make me laugh. It was a funny observation which I thought others might appreciate -- and judging by the other remarks in this thread, some (if not many) others shared my simple humor
and got the joke!!!It was just an attempt at one of those gender based men vs. women jokes where I added the extra observation that even though the initials spell out HIM, we still had two female named hurricanes (Irma and Maria) to only one male named hurricane (Harvey) in the trio.
