I suggest you borrow a friend or family members Win7-10 and buy a cheap Key online $$ wont really cost much depending on where you get it from and install it since win XP is not supported anymore and quite dangerous unless your just using it to stream stuff. If not try getting an even older version of the chrome and see if it helps out with the problem, It might even be your ram which needs upgrade, or the average cleaning of the case and parts to get the dust buns out.

I already bought Windows 7 a couple months ago, but some of the programs on my computer were digital downloads and if I upgrade Windows, I lose those programs. I have an external back-up drive but it doesn't back up the programs even though I have it marked the settings to do so. It only saves data, which bums me out because saving the digital downloaded programs is one of the reasons I bought the external drive.

Today, it took over an hour of restarting to get back into FC but some of the "buttons" aren't working.

I can't send or receive email either because I'm being asked for my network password. I no longer network (used to use 2 computers/one for work, one for personal use). This sucks after all these years of working perfectly without ever having a problem.

              Mozilla Firefox
              Safari
              Opera
     Google:
               List of browsers...and see how many you can find.
               Try them and see what happens.

Do you have wifi?  If you have wifi and you use a laptop then the network password is your password for you wifi router.  But I would not give that to any one.  Not the password to get on your wifi but the password for the actual router.  I got an email saying mine needed to be updated and I needed my user name and password.  I am going to do some checking before I follow this link and give that information. haha
