Health care reform is going to be very important in our future. We need to decide how we stand on this important matter. How do you feel. I think there is still alot that needs to be weeded out. But I believe every amercian deserves healthcare.

How about "No, but if it must pass, it had damn well better have a Public Option"?

I'd really just like to see insurance companies disbanded as a whole. They're the entire reason healthcare is so expensive today.
Having the government pay for it doesn't change any of the problems that are there.

Obama claims there will be fewer tests, but is that really true?
There's no evidence that Medicare has a smaller number of tests than private insurance(actually quite the contrary).

Anyway, it looks increasingly like the wonderful "reform" that's going to be passed is drafted as a boon to the insurance industry. Make everyone buy insurance, and don't put any cost controlling measures.

The insurance companies can be thrilled that they have Congress and the Senate with their best interests in mind

Now if only the American people could find something like that.

I just want to see change.  There is no reason why there shouldnt be equal healthcare for all, even if its a minimal coverage with the option to pay for more coverage or something, because not having healthcare is a *bleep*.  Honestly, I paid for insurance for years and suddenly I was laid off and without insurance and it that time frame my husband had an emergency appendectomy.  I have insurance again, but since that occurred during a time without coverage I have to pay back $7000 (after some financial assistance) instead of the $300 it would have cost if I had my current insurance or possibly a nation coverage.
I know a lot of people hate Michael Moore, but Sicko makes some good points, if nothing else the health support and costs in foreign countries versus the USA.

Hey, if we put a cap to a doctor's salary like we try to do in sports, maybe that will bring down the cost of healthcare
