I am praying that we will be spared and that God will just have this hurricane dissipate and that is pretty much all I know to do is pray.  Went to store here in central florida and they were already wiped out of a lot of stuff and definitely wasn't one bottle of water in the whole place.

Praying it turns, but if  does not, I hope every one is prepared.  I often wonder why people wait until the  last minute tod o anything and then wonder why they are caught in it. too me it makes more sense to get the heck out of there with every thing you don't want to lose and wait and see if it should hit.  Better to be prepared and out of harms way then not.

Yes! this  is massive especially given part of the country just went through Harvey. I am praying for all of my friends in Florida and know they are prepared as prepared can be; I spent my  whole professional working  career in South Florida and went through many Hurricances including Andrew, while I miss the weather I do not miss the hurricane season. I always tried to keep my house well stocked during hurricane season, so as not to have to get out in all the madness  looking for stuff; my prayers remain with them and as well as those who went through Harvey.

Sadly, the anticipation of Irma may be almost worse than a hit.  Now that everyone has seen the disastrous Harvey footage panic has ensued.  Irma also proves the statistics that point to around Sept. 12 as the height of the hurricane season.  I know Texas, even though I'm more familiar with disasters by being in tornado alley, and many of those homeowners who didn't leave could never have imagined their homes submerged in a matter of just days (whether it be from unheard amounts of rainfall or the runoff from watersheds spilling uncontrollably, followed by controlled spilling).

While those afflicted by Harvey will be hurting for a long, long time, Irma's path is ominous to say the least.  There are so many hurricane models being created in front of the confirmed news that Irma is a Cat 5 (180+ mph winds) with a defined eye that the reaction can't be helped.  I am most fearful for this situation now.

I am praying that it does turn and miss Florida and the Carribbean (?) islands, Puerto Rico.  I hope they are all as prepared as can be or get out of town.

I live in Florida and am not really sure if I should evacuate or not. My dog refuses to get into a car and I'm 9 months pregnant. This is a lot of uneeded stress :(

All these tropical storms are scary. I know Jose is coming up right after that. I just pray that everyone is safe and takes the necessary precautions to avoid additional damage.

I have a theory that all this natural disasters is a result from the Solar Eclipse we just had recently. I'm not sure but the entire western States are dealing with wild fires and unhealthy smokes while some part of the country are dealing with hurricanes. Who knows what will be next? Tsunami, tornadoes, and earth quakes??

I live in Florida and they just canceled school for Friday and Monday morning. I hope this storm does not impact us or downgrades at least. It is too soon after Harvey and very stressful.
