What kind of can opener do you have?

I have a very old long handled hand held one, a short hand held one, an electric one that is awful to use because it throws some of the paper label into the food, and hubby had bought me one of those battery operated ones that cuts with no sharp edges, which I really liked, but it gave out after a few cans.

I've gone through 5 electric can openers in 10 years. They just don't make them tough anymore but then again, it's like everything else. They don't make stuff to last. They make it to break right after the warranty runs out so you have to buy a replacement.

I don't have a can opener just yet, but I would prefer the electric one.

We've been given electric can openers over the year but I've never had one that worked good for very long so we stick with the manual can openers.  Good manual ones are not that easy to find anymore.

I have an electric and a manual one to use. However, they don't get used much as it seems most things I purchase do not need one.

I have a black electric can opener that I have had for years and it still works.  It goes perfect with all the black appliances in my new house.....I will use it until it won't work any more.  I also have two old hand held can openers as well which I keep around for emergencies.  Interesting though I have noticed a lot of the cans now have pull tabs and don't require can openers.  I wonder if that will eventually put can opener manufacturers out of business?

 :)I had an electric can opener  before it stop working for me, and I had to buy
another can opener.  The new can opener is an old fashion one it is green and silver
and you have put it on the can , and turn it around with the two handles.

I have an electric one, that I don't even know how to use (I didn't buy it). I have to get someone else to open it for me everytime. I wish all of these companies would get on board and switch over to the easy to open tab like they have on pet food and fruit cans. They are much more convenient.

I have an old can opener that has been around for centuries. You have to crank it up to use. I try to buy canned item that you don't have to use a can opener for. It is rare that I use this can opener.

I have an electric one that sits under the cabinet but it broke months ago and haven't replaced it.  I just use an old school hand held one.
