A Job
« on: August 20, 2017, 09:42:05 am »
I want a job! I can't take this anymore.

Does anyone know of anything simple, easy, and that would allow for a decent amount of money to be made doing something?

Like something online?

I think that it all falls on what you are qualified for. I review mortgage loans in the evening and on weekends as a result of training, college focus and experience in the field. I think that people in the accounting field can perform audits from the comfort of their homes. I have a pair of computer programmers living next door that never leave their house. I have heard of people providing customer service for corporations from their homes. A co-worker at my day time job just quit a lucrative position in order to pursue this line of work. I think she said that it involved getting a land line, being personable and a short period of training. I am sorry that I do not know the name of this company but I am sure that you can find something like this on line.

No just do a job search online and a list of jobs should come up, just put in the search engine what type of at home job you want to do.

There are many jobs  you could do outside of the house, why limit yourself to something that may not pay as good or be here today and gone in a week.  I know a few who  do  a little on line and make a small  amount, but will never get anywhere without  going out and working hard for what you want.

Sorry I do not know any online jobs besides doing youtube. Just keep looking and something will turn up. I looked for a job for two years and I finally got one.

Check out indeed dot com ... they list all kinds of job in whatever zip code you are in
You can peruse & see if there is anything there that interests you.
I was surprised at how many employers list on there.

Online? No.  If you want a job then look at the classified in your area.  Or go to indeed.com and put in your zip code.  If you want to make mo ey online then say that. But this and sites like this are NOT a job.

Finding jobs are not easy.  My brother has a master's degree and did time in the navy.  He's excellent with data, management and technology and he's been in and out of work for years.  There is really no job that's fast to get and earns decent pay unless it's shady.  You have to put your resume on a job site like Indeed and let the jobs come to you.

That is not true.  There are plenty of jobs that are not shady.  You are not going to start out at top pay even if you have a degree.  You still will start at a lower pay wage.

It also depends on where you live.  If you live in New York City then there are plenty of jobs.  If you live in a smaller town like I do then there are not so many.  There are jobs but most are fast food or retail.  Just what is where I am.  The better jobs are few.  But there ARE jobs.  If it comes down to feeding your family or having shelter you will take what is available.  I have taken jobs I did NOT want to do.  But it paid the bills.

I also disagree with "let the jobs come to you".  There still has to be jobs available in your area.  I look at indeed often as well as jobs4 "my state" . gov  Most of the jobs listed are truck drivers or nursing or something medical related.  If you are not looking for that then the jobs are not going to come to you.

There is a job listed in my home town right now and starting pay is close to $100,000 a year.  It is NOT shady.  But you need 3-5 years experience in the field and you need a BA.  And you have to pass a drug and background check.  Finding someone who can meet all the qualifications they need is not an easy task.

I felt this way at one time in my life.   I was pretty desperate needing to make money... any money was good enough for me then.  I told myself... I'll even work at wal-mart.  If in the bakery.  Low and behold after applying online I was hired to work in the bakery at the local wal-mart.  The department felt like home to me.  10 years later I'm still in the world of retail bakery... loving my work.  Starting my own "in home" farmers market bakery and really growing my skills.  Never thought all this would happen from accepting a position at a wal-mart.
