Have You Ever Been Laughed at for Making a Mistake?

I'm okay when people laugh WITH me and I've learned to laugh at myself.  If I feel that people are mocking and disrespecting me.....

that's a different story.  I'm now honest enough to let people know that I won't spend time with them if we can both be on our best behavior.

I was new at my job and I made a mistake and someone laughed, but what I told her was that I am learning and I am going to make mistakes. I am far from perfect and there are many more mistakes to come. Some people are just not nice.

No I don't think I have ever been laughed at for making a mistake and believe me I have made a few.  If I had been I think I would be mad too.

yes many times sad to say. I just figured those who laugh at my mistakes have no life of their own. much like gossipers.

We're human. We make mistakes. If someone finds that to be humorous, they're probably laughing at themselves too.

How horrid it is when someone laughs at you as though they are perfect.  Everybody make mistakes, what's to laugh about.  No empathy.

I think it depends on how you perceive their laugh.If its mean and they are wishing you ill-fate i am sure id be upset.Otherwise if its a scenario where we both can laugh at the mistake chalk it up as unsuspecting humor and carry on after.

I am one of those "perfect people" so its not so much laughing, just a lot of attention because its apparently a rare event that I make a mistake. Really annoying and doesn't help my self esteem.

Yes, I  have.  I always try to see the humor in my mistakes.

yep  and I laughed right along with them.  If you can't laugh at your mistakes then your taking things to seriously

Yes I have, we all make mistakes along the way,  Some I have been upset about because it was a stupid mistake, But  I learned from them and went on my way, if some one laughed at it oh well.  a lot I laughed  myself.  I don't let other people bother me any more, Put up with stuff for a long time from former spouse. And that is why he is a former.  But his comments were nasty and hurt. Not because I  made a mistake but it was the way he would address it.
