shopping with the hubby
« on: August 03, 2017, 12:36:36 pm »
omg, i just got back from the grocery store.....well 3 different stores. and i cannot stand shopping with my husband... he drives me nuts!!!

i have coupons and specific things i have to look for in order to get the best deal and i swear he has no patience and not only that, he constantly runs over me with the basket.....i can maneuver with the grace of a ballerina through strangers and associates but with him hes either running me over or i turn around and him and the basket are nowhere to be found.

i love the man, dont get me wrong, i just wish he would just stay home because im  sure he has just as many complaints about my shopping as well,,,,, but wouldnt it be wrong if i just asked him to give me the money and stay home?

do you think it would be music to his ears is i told him to stay home while i ran around? i halfway think that he goes with me because he thinks i want him to or that i need help with the heavy items,,, i dont know,,, but somethings gotta give... i feel like i shop smarter without him in tow

thanks for listening ;D ::)

lol -- I know this.
I can't stand being followed around like I am the leader & he is just a tag along.  So much easier to just go myself & run errands.

If you rely on him to pay, definitely suggest if he would rather you just go without him... tell him you'll bring back his change & receipts for him to look over if he is a control freak about it.

Thankfully, we have a joint account & just use a debt to usually pay, so if I can "ditch" him I do -- I think he is rather relieved when he doesn't have to go.

Oh I understand that way too well, but  I will fix a list for hubby that puts him in another part of the store while I shop.  It is things that I don't have  coupons for or if I do I  make sure I write exactly what I want, size color or what ever. It keeps him out of my hair until I am almost through and then it takes him awhile to find me. We both  feel better about the shopping then and not mad at each other.

Girl I agree with you. My husband gets tired very fast and wants to go. Once we went to Kmart and as soon as we walked in he got to one of his moods and said this go. I was said what we just got here. We went home. I was so mad... He doesn't do that any more, I put a stop on it, but I still don't enjoy shopping with him.

I hold onto the front of the basket if he's pushing it because he will get the back of my foot.  Most of the time I go when he's not around because I save money and he just throw things in the basket regardless of price or whether we will use it.  If I send him for something, I take a picture and put it on his cell because if I don't he will call and ask what color, size, etc. and sometimes I still have to return things.

Never do I take the hubby grocery shopping with me.  He throws stuff in the cart that we don't need and I keep taking it out.  If for some odd reason that I do need to take him .. I send him to another part of the store and tell him I will call him when I'm ready to check out .. LOL

I am much more efficient when I shop alone.  Although he feels as though he is helping! LOL

When I was married, I had a very controlling husband....especially with money.

He made the final decisions about EVERYTHING.  I had to ask permission on a $2 pair of socks!

Was so glad when he finally left.

Your hubbies may be annoying, but at least they sound like they want to go someplace with you, even if shopping is not their first choice.

Be thankful he is just a normal guy :)

For me it's the other way around, my husband hates shopping with me.  I just let him do all the shopping.  :)
