Water
« on: July 31, 2017, 03:44:13 pm »
SO today our neighbors house was being reinavated... and the guys over there didn't come prepared i guess.. and came and knocked on my door asking me for water. I had no problem giving them water... I can't imagine working out in the heat in the summer time.. but you would think.. they would bring water... So my question is.. if you are working out in the heat all day.. as a job.. would you bring water???

That sounds very suspicious to me. I had an outside job and I made sure I had something to drink every day. Anyone who works outside on a daily basis would make that a top priority.

Yes that doesn't seem right. I work in an air conditioned building and I always take water. So if a person works outside, they would definitely take water. If they realized they didn't have it then they would go to the nearest convenience store and get it as opposed to asking a neighbor for it.
Strange!

That is simply a matter of common sense. If you are knowingly aware of an impending heat wave, why would you not prepare properly and bring water (or alternate refreshments) with you? That person should have been docked for asking you for water, in my honest opinion. That is like them coming to do a job and not bringing their tools with them.

That seems odd.  Why wouldn't they ask the homeowners for water.  Maybe their water was turned off but still.  If there was a nearby store why not go on their break and get their own water instead of begging strangers for water?

Yes lots and lots of water, you will get dehydrated if you don't drink plenty of water during the summer, tempts can get over in the 100's, its necessary to drink lots of water.

Oh yes! when my boyfriend has a job that hes got to be outside, we go and buy the biggest package of 16.9 ounce bottles for him to bring with him and then he usually sells some of them to the people that have forgotten to bring water with.

He then takes that money to buy another case of water.

Most construction crews I've observed have a water supply.

When the were working on our house  we filled a big  water cooler with ice and water, Yes they brought some but it was so hot we wanted to make sure they had plenty, they  really seemed to grateful. Even though they brought water with them they really like the  ice cold water and we also provided sodas, No we did not have to but wanted too,

Anytime a I have a major job done I always offer the workers something to drink even if they are working indoors.  Sometimes they may just run out due the job taking longer than they thought.

I buy my water and I would definitely make sure I had water with me if I had to be out in the heat for any length of time.
Have a great day!
