Cat Help!

I have a cat that pukes all the time and has started peeing on my shoes and carpet.  Have any of you had a cat that did this and what have you done to fix the problem.  I've tried the following:

1. Changed cat diet'
2. Gave hairball medicine
3. Gave probiotic
4. Clean litter every two to three days
5. Buzzed her hair
6. Brushed her hair

Is your cat spayed or neutered?   All those symptoms I believe I would take mine to the vet and find out.

That is the worst part, I've taken her to about 5 different vets, and they were the ones that told me to do all of that stuff.  I have probably spent a few thousand on this cat, but it is my wife's cat and she love it, so I can't just get rid of it.

Vet call time. They have kidney stones, gallstones, urinary tract infections, diseases too. sorry hope your cat feels better

Sounds to me you need to go and take that cat to a Vet.

Take her to a vet and say you think something might be wrong, youve tried all these things...

The vomiting could be something like IBD and vets have treatments for that (dietary changes are part of it).  Also sometimes Asthma is misdiagnosed as hairballs,  so if the cat is gagging a lot and not producing anything, you might video and show the vet.  The peeing could be a urinary infection or could be loss of control while vomiting.  I would want to rule that out first. The I suggest checking out Jackson Galaxy and My Cat From Hell he has worked with many cats peeing outside the litter box and fixed the issue.

How old is your kitty ?  And vets are not always the answer, from reading the post you made you have tried allot of stuff already,  peeing just on your shoes ? or your wives also ?  The carpet is it away from the litter box and shoes ?  Has any thing changed at home ?

My cat has a sensitive stomach & was throwing up often.... I had to switch his IAMS to sensitive stomach & he hasn't thrown up since.  I also can't feed him any mammal as he gets runny loose stools & gas. So just fish & chicken flavors.  Also throws up certain brands... like Meow Mix soft food.

I had a cat that peed on the carpet, it turned out she had kidney problems which is very common in cats esp as they get older & fed primarily dry food.

The cat pees on our shoes and around one area of our house. We recent moved into a new place and I wonder if another animal was in the house before we moved in and she smells the other animal's urine.  I don't think I could take any better care of her.

I've given her prescription food that cost $40 a bag.  I've tried soft foods, hard foods, soft foods mixed with dry foods, and I've tried about 10 different brands and types.  She seems to do pretty well with a lamb based food, and if I trim her hair she does not throw up as much. 

Another thing I should mention is that she throws up the most in the summer months.  During the winter it is much less frequent.

Did the cat have the problems before you moved ?  The peeing where another animal was is a real possibility,  or the cat could be mad at you and your wife, funny as it sounds.   I had a cat that would pee on people she didn't like.  She also would pee if that person was over to visit and left she'd jump up and pee on his chair.

On cat food, i belong to all sorts of animal groups on FB, seems allot of animals are having problem with food. The GMO's have caused just as many problems for cat as people.  One lady thought her cat couldn't have corn or chicken, come to find out it was just the corn, the chicken in the food was fed GMO corn and cause the chicken problem.  At this time I have no cats, but I do have a dog.  But i'm working at turning her diet to a raw diet. Its a big deal people all over the world are starting to do. The simple fact is our pets food is cheap junk sold to us by huge money hungry companies who care less but for the bottom line.  I love Planet Paws for the truth  and the pet food advisory.  If it was my cat i'd go non grain non gmo food.  I'll look up other sites for you as well.  Its good reading on planet paws  Rodney is one real cool vet.  Mostly about dogs but its still about the same companies making the food.

Thanks for responding.  The cat never peed in the house until we moved to our new home. There is one spot in our carpet that is really dark, and my guess is that the prior owner had a pet that peed there as well.  That is the only thing that I can think of.  I bought a carpet cleaner and will be trying it soon to see if that help.

Keep the litter box extra clean. If you have to get one of those self cleaning boxes.
If you have a bad spot in the carpet, i doubt cleaning will do it. You can never really get rid of animal urine smell.

Id take her back to the vet and have them peform an xray on her stomach to see if all the hair she probably lapped up fully got out and is n't stuck in her stomach
