I had been talking to a rep from the library service  books by mail for 6 years.
I never thought whether or not I would get to meet her.
I did and she was
younger than I thought
she had red hair, not brunette

I even gave her a different body in my mind.

I just changed her completely in my mind.

I have been surprised many times after meeting someone that I had only talked to on the phone.  Usually their appearance isn't what I had envisioned.

  I am always amazed when I hear and finally see a radio disc jockey.

Always turned out different from what I had seen in my mind.

i think it is hard to picture how someone looks by the phone voice. People can surprise you with how big or small their voice is compared to the body

I've known a few red heads and they are what they claim (hot heads)  One is also proud she is hot tempered and boldly tells people who she meets to not get her going.  Saying you'll be sorry if you make me mad. I talked to her many times on the phone before meeting her and she was  phone shy, once I met her (game on)  and after when we talked on the phone she was, that bold women I'd met.

I think its pretty common to formulate an image of someons, and often we are wrong!

I always seem to envision them a lot different than they are.  But it is just automatic fr our mind to put a body to the voice.

My husband was in sales and talked to phone reps for many years.  He always was happy when he finally got to meet personally people he had only known through phone conversations. He says he had different images in his mind, as well.  I imagine that's pretty common.  Maybe we'd all be better off if we got to know people through their voices and thoughts before we saw them in person.

This happens sometime with places also like when family moves and tries to explain their new homes etc
