Summer and Fires
« on: July 08, 2017, 10:51:33 pm »
I live in Southern Utah where Brian Head ski resort is only an hour drive away.  Apparently, a controlled burn became a huge forest fire last month and the firefighters are still trying to put it out.  Last time I checked it was 80% contained.

It makes me cringe to think about the animals dying or losing their homes.  The really sad thing is that it was human caused.  I also understand that the individual who caused the fire will most likely face criminal charges.

Have you experience fires where you live?
Have a great day!

We don't have them in my immediate area but Southern California has a lot of wildfires this time of year.

Hello!

No actually I haven't had any fires near me this year. However about two years ago there were two fires that were deliberately set in a nature reserve near my house. It's a shame it's us humans that are causing the fires. We are ruining our earth which was a gift given by God. I hope the fire get contain.

Best wishes,

We have fires all the time in California.... most are started by people, on purpose... it seems.
When Arnold was governor, he coordinated the neighboring states to muster together to stop the fires. I believe it is 5 states that rally together to put out the big fires.  Best thing that came out of him being governor.  We've had a lot less issues with major out of control forest fires :)

Ca does have many fires.I  was afraid on July 4th cause our backyard is over grown but was ok.One time a few years ago the tree in our front yard was on fire at 4 in the morning luckily a neighbor called the fire department. It was fine they put it out we're heavy sleepers so didn't know til we got a knock on the front door.
