I don't plan on having any kids because while I love having them around I very much enjoy when I get to send them back home

I don't have any, so I kid nap my brother and sis-in-laws once in a while . We so love taking them out somewhere as they are very good kids. We may go out for breakfast or lunch and then take them to the park for the little girl to run off some energy. Never pick up their phones at the place we go, nor will the young man eat with his cap on, Both say please and thank you. Their  mother raised them right.

My Granddaughter is the same way, she is a sweetheart. I'm not in my 20s 30s 40s or 50s any more and she is a VERY active almost 5 year old who tires Nana out to no end. I LOVE playing with her but getting up and down from the floor and running around gets me exhausted. I have no problem seeing her leave so I can recoup haha

hahahaha I had to giggle my youngest daughter took off to visit her grandparents for an annual summer vacation  trip.  They said she can stay week, 2 heck even a whole month is she'd like.  YIKES - I don't know about that.  I wonder if they feel the same way when it's time for her to leave?

I think we all reach an age where enough is enough.  I don't necessarily have grandchildren but I can honestly say that if I did....

a little bit of quality time goes a long way.  I'm not in a position to care for or accommodate other people for an extended length of time.

Have a great day!

Our Granddaughter stayed close to 2 weeks and it will be ok if I dont see her again for a month (my bad) ...My Son will say "Ma there are Grandparents older than you that can handle their Grand kids" GRRRRRRRR, then I will say "Good then send them to them"....Of course I dont mean that. Dont go by me on how your parents may feel they may ENJOY the Grand kids. Oh dont get me wrong, I love her and all, it's just that i'm exhausted when she's here.

Exactly Sherry, hence why God cut us off at a certain age to ever have more kids lol..I tell my Son that I hope i'm around when he has Grand kids so I can see how long he will last with them :)

I felt like that with my daughter and son-in-law until my 4 month old grandson came along.  So for now, I hate to see him leave.  I see him every day via FaceTime but don't get to hold him very often.
Have a wonderful day!

We have two grandchildren living with us along with their mom (our daughter) and her husband while he finishes his schooling.

I love having the grands here because I don't have to do the actual parenting.....the parents do that.  I get to enjoy the grandkids.  I don't have to cook for them or put them to bed or all the parenting things.

Some day they will move away.....we are looking forward to that day.... for the kids betterment and for our own house back.  It will be bittersweet.

No you are not a bad nana! I think every nana on the planet feels the same way. You love your grandkids with your whole heart and soul but you've been there and done that in terms of raising kids, which isn't easy.

My boys said we don't have any grand kids and no one has showed up saying grandma.  I can deal with kids for a little while but I enjoy my routine especially taking naps anytime I like.

I have 13 grandchildren between my three children and I rarely get to see them or do things with them. They are all wonderful, but I don't know what it would be like if I were off work and could keep them for a while.

I don't have much room and they're all used to having a lot of room and doing lots of fun things. Probably couldn't measure up to their standards in that regard.

If you've got the opportunity to be with your grandchildren, don't pass it up.

It's another gift from God.  :angel11:
