I celebrated with my friends and my spouse. We went in the pool, ate bbq , and blew off fireworks

I love the patriotic part of the 4th of July but this year I was less than impressed, because....

there were too many fires started by careless and irresponsible people.  I also dislike the negative impact the fireworks have on pets.

It would be alright with me if fireworks were completely banned.

When i was a teenager i loved shooting off fireworks to the point where i would hold an M-80 in my hands a second and then throw it high in the air to see it explode in the air.As years passed i realized what a jerk i was.Now i wont even light a sparkler.I agree with you about pets too.I can enjoy a good display of fireworks being put on by professionals.....but my lighting them is...if i can quote Marvin Gay...."Long gone>
