I did the online thing for about 4 years.  It is possible but for me I felt like I was married to my computer.  I felt like I could never "clock out"  Now if I wasn't a Mom to under age 18 kids I may not have felt that way.  But for me having a job that I could leave the house... do what I love and come back home to the kids... made me more productive as a Mom.  And a wife.  Maybe when all the kids are over 18 I'll feel like I can choose working online more.  Right as of now... it hasn't been worth the sacrifice.  I do my favorite sites.  Every day (Well most every day) and I'm happy with that for some spending money.

I don't think that anyone can rely on these sites for any real income. I am on 3-4 sites and maybe bring home $40-$60 a month. That is just fun money. But free money is free  money and I'll continue to come here.

I need another job too! I have a full time job, but it is getting really miserable, and I would like to get a part time job so I can save up some money and get out of this disaster. It went from being the best job I could find, with good pay and perks, to being a miserable hell-hole. so now the only thing keeping me here is wanting to save up enough money to get out.

DO you?  Really?  What do you need to support?  Think about whether it's worth your time.

I am going to start an Etsy store. Not sure how well it will do, but it's worth a try.

When you say you were "working online" do you mean doing surveys?  Because that is NOT a job.  I have noticed most of the people who say they "work online" are drawing checks off the government and do surveys for some extra money and tell people they "work online".

As for a real job that is working online - I would love to do that.  But I would need a real job not something where you do surveys or sites like this and it is hit or miss and you might make a couple dollars or you might make 35 cents.  I know a guy (just from online) that has a news letter and he has over half a million subscribers and with the ads and referrals to sites like this and all he was able to quit his job and he does WORK online.  Well sort of. lol.  He does something besides a few surveys each day hoping to get paid.
