Overabundance of caterpillars!

Does anyone else have a really large number of caterpillars?  They are eating up the trees and they just sort of hang in mid air. You can actually hear them eating. They are everywhere!

Oh I have not paid attention to whether there's any here or not really, haven't seen any so far, but I guess, according to some of the towns people, the mosquitoes are really bad. Some have posted pics on FB of their many bites but where I live and work, I haven't been bit once as far as I know! Have seen some pretty huge wasps though!

I don't believe I have seen any in my area yet this year. What part of the country do you live in, OP?
