Central Air Conditioning
« on: June 02, 2017, 07:15:28 pm »
So grateful....for Central Air.  It's been pretty warm here, in Utah.  I turned on my air conditioning for the first time today.

Do you have Central Air?

Swamp Cooler?

Fans?

I can deal with cold and snow in the winter but this time of year...

I need a cool environment.

Have a great day!

We try to avoid using the A/C, and we live in California too. It's crazy how we can get by sometimes.

We have a Heat Pump that keeps it a nice 71 degrees all the time (within 5 or 10 degrees).

We have central air, but have not used it yet this year.  Don't know where summer is, it's only been in the 60's or low 70's with the exception of 2 warm days.  Today it's raining - again - and the temps in the 70's.

I have central air which is starting to get old (about 22 years) so it is not at its best, but is certainly better than nothing.  It is one of my best investments as far as I am concerned, and soon as I make decision on whether I'm moving or staying, I intend to put in a new furnace/air conditioner in next 3 years or so.  I also have some other needs on this home, so if I stay here I have a fairly big investment to make.  However, it may be less than moving.  I have to wait and see how things go over coming months.

Yes, we have central air as well as ceiling fans have not had to use either yet, primarily because we have a lot of trees in the back and that has always help to keep them off sometimes during the summer months which is a good thing!

When I lived in the midwest, we had central air. Where I live now, downstairs has central air but We have window units upstairs. It is an old building so it was never upgraded throughout the house. 8)

We have a heat pump but I can take the heat but cold is another story.  It's 82 in here and that's fine with me.

What's a swamp cooler? We been using the central air unit for the last month or so, I live in Georgia, we didn't really have any cold weather this year, it got cold but not freezing cold.

I miss having central air conditioning. I recently moved from the East Coast (where I had central air) to the West Coast (Washington State) for work. Here in Washington State, they do not believe in central air, apparently. I have to settle for an ineffective oscillating fan (or the air conditioner in my car). Ugh!

We have central air and really hate having to turn it on.  Like when I can open the windows because we are closed up all winter.
