Were you a bully in school or were you bullied in school?

I was bullied so bad i would run home from school and cry, i hated school because of a little skinny girl who made fun of me every day on the play ground, she made up a song that haunts me to this day about being chubby when i was a kid . I found her on facebook and her children are all way over weight and she is still a tooth pick ... I wondered if her kids get picked on ??  Kids really can be mean, she was something nasty !! I'm 58 and its still like yesterday thinking of what she did and how it hurt.

bullying is a very nasty thing that seems to go on every where these days.  I don't think it will ever end  :(

I was bullied some in school. I am from N.M. and have lived almost of my life here. But  for a very short time (3 years) we lived in Ohio. Back in the fifties.  As far the people there were concerned we were from Old Mexico and were not acceptable.  2 of my teachers were the worst.  Kept asking me I understood English.  Just because I had a Texas accent living so close to the Texas border. They were very rude too me.

I think I fell into both categories. I was a tomboy during grades 5-7, and I was picked on a lot for that. It hurt, but my parents taught me to value myself, and not to listen to what others said. At the same time, if my friends were picking on other kids, I would join in just because I didn't want to be left out. And of course, if my parents found out I was picking on other kids, I would have probably got a lecture about that as well. But honestly, I am going to teach my children to respect others, and if they are ever picked on, to be strong about it and remember that they mean something to their family and friends, so those bullies' opinions mean nothing.

Was never bullied in school, but people try to make you do things you don't want to do, like trying to get you to pick a fight with a friend when you don't want too, or don't have any ill feelings toward each other. Don't let people push you up to do something against your will, those are the types of bullies that are always up to no good.

I was picked on a little in Elementary school, but I don't consider it bullying. I had friends and I wasn't afraid to go to school or anything. I was never a bully in school.

Did you see where just a couple days ago it was in the news where a 10 year old kid hung himself because he was bullied at school?  It is not just at school.  And it does not end when you get out of school.  It happens in the work place too.

I wasn't bullied but I was definitely picked on. It hurt me very much. I can't even imagine the pain some people have to go through due to bullying  :( More needs to be done about this. Nobody should have to deal with this.

What can you do?  Jerks have always made fun of others.  You will never stop people from making fun of others.  The only thing that can be done is for the bully to take up for themselves.  And then when they do that they get in trouble.  Unfortunately the way a lot of them end up doing that is to take a gun and shoot the bully and a bunch of others.  Probably people who stood there and laughed in the past.  Idk.  I honestly can see why this happens.  People can only take so much.  Eventually they will snap and will defend themselves how ever they can.  They stop it how ever they can.
