We did not have all the electronics etc when a kid. I am 74.

Slinky's were great fun, and kept our hands busy.

So was my "Little Engine That Could". A cute little train, a little track in a circle. A cute friendly face on the engine.

It tooted and blew smoke (not unlike a lot of politicians lately).

I loved it 

You could play with it with a friend without them having a gadget that is expensive or run on batteries.

Wish we could go back.....
