At the store today a head of lettuce was 3.49 wow i bought a bag for 2.50 .I heard because of all the rain in Ca this year prices were going up they were right.Wanted miracle whip but not for 5.69 geez .Other items also have gone way up .

Sometimes i wonder about all of this  pricing things higher and higher every year. Yes Ca. got a lot of rain. But before there were so dry. So one way or another they are going to just keep raising the prices until  it gets to where people won't buy it and then what will they do? I don't buy as much  lettuce as i used to here in our little store because  2 days later is is already turning brown.  Just buy other  fresh veggies and make up for it.

Yes, the price of food is getting higher all the time. I save money by checking the store's circular to see what's on sale, linking my store card to their online savings site, using the site Ibotta for cash back on select items, and of course I also use regular paper coupons.

I have been trying to grow my own veggies but not with a lot of success.  Hopefully I will get better at it.

When minimum wage goes up, so does food and everything else. I also think there is a shortage of lettuce so that is why that has been going up lately.

Soon it will be farmers market time and produce will be less expensive
