Time off from work
« on: April 11, 2017, 04:30:49 am »
It is always nice to take time off from work, whether is it is one day
or more. It is never enough time, lol. I had a nice long weekend. I did nothing but rest. Today is my first
day out of the house since Friday.

When was the last time you took a day or so off? What did you do?

A few weeks ago: I just needed a day off during the week. Stayed home and relaxed.

I took this week off and so far I just spent it by just staying home  and doing nothing

I took two weeks off in March and went out west.
Have a wonderful day!

Gosh I haven't had some time off in... hmmmmmmmmm I can't remember.  I work in retail... in a perishable department.  We're always busy.  And during the holidays we're just that much busier. I am looking forward to 2 weeks paid vacation this year.  Last year I built a website for my church during that time off.  This time I'll be honing in on my own website and business.  I think I'm a workaholic...even when I have vacation time; I fill it with my own work.  At least I love what I do.

Days off are great, but the more time off you have the more you hate going back to work. Hmmm.

I had to take off 3 months because i always had a ache or a cold and my job gotten very slow. So, I asked if I could take off and then come back, with a decision of working until 70.

I love my days off,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,  I am now retired :)  I worked for 18 years at major Dept Store. and they closed our store so I had the option of going to another store 35 miles away or retiring,,,  I chose to take the retirement because I could not stand to be around the other stores Manager.    Have never regretted it for a minute !!!

The last time I took a half a day off from work was on Monday. I was scheduled to take a typing test for a typing certificate before heading to work.

My idea of a day off is....

a day with no commitments.

I'm having one of those today.

Have a great day!

I had today off because it's Good Friday, so it's sort of a long weekend. In a few weeks I'll be taking a few days off to go down to Virginia for a short vacation with relatives.

My last day off was December 27th. Our busiest time of the year is the first quarter so they like us to be there, that gives us more days off for the second half of the year.

Agreed! I took this past Thursday and Friday off for myself. I didn't realize how much I needed it. Looking forward to my next day off.

I basically heard, a lot of people in the metro Atlanta, GA area had last Friday (yesterday I mean) off from work, or they worked from home. Bridge fire started on purpose on a major hwy, I sat in traffic for 4 1/2 hours on Thursday when it happened, took Friday off. Ended up going out with a friend to a very close by local resteraunt at night  though. Got out for a bit. Otherwise, just stayed off the roads.
