Video labs, mobile vs computer
« on: April 10, 2017, 09:19:48 am »
So they changed video labs to the kind you have to run on your phone, I'm not going to bother, it's a bit of a hassle on a little screen and I don't want to run down my battery like that. I hope they put the desktop version back sometime.

What kind do you like better?

Well, when they first went to mobile the videos were shorter and it was crediting. I didn't really mind that it was on mobile because I have unlimited data and/or WiFi that I can connect to. For the first time, I let it run all night (last night), it was still running when I got up. I only earned ELEVEN CENTS. Unless I am desperate to get my 5c minimum, even THAT is not worth it to me.

I'd rather on the computer since I don't have a smartphone and my tablet doesn't have unlimited data and it'll run down the battery, but I can do enough surveys, videos, etc thaty those few cents don't really matter

It is not worth it to run the mobile devices right now.
The video counter is very long, 1.5 to 2 minutes per section, It takes about 30 minutes to earn 1 cent.

Desktop version is my preference. I don't have unlimited data on my cell phone plan or want to run my battery down.

I just checked and it's not available today. Well, at least it isn't for me. I have a spare mobile phone that connects to the wifi so I get credited for it but I still prefer on the computer. It goes a lot slower on the phone. I don't think it's really fair to the people who can't run it on their phones.

I like  in the computer, I dont want to run down my battery. My phone gets really hot and I think it's dangerous.

I'd like to  go back to doing them on the computer. I won't use my phone for that.
