It is exactly the same.  I have seen it twice now.  The second time I just hit next without answering the questions and it went on with the survey.  If our answers are anonymous then I am not sure why they would need to go to such extreme lengths to confirm MY identity.  That just seems foolish.  Esp when you are just getting opinions on tooth paste.

This happened to me once but the answers were in multiple choice and it was on a different site. I closed out of it because I'm not comfortable giving that out

I have never ran into anything like that but I would not answer that question or anything too personal.

I have never had a survey ask me for that info! Smart move by clicking out of it!

It's better to not make a little extra money, then to lose your monies, your,identity, basically you're life to scammers! Listen to your gut feelings. Never, never, give out your SSN!

I would never give my SSN to surveys or offers. I'm not that desperate for money.

I had it happened on another site and closed it.  But not have seen it again here or on any other sites.

That is very sketchy. I would advise not giving out your SSN in that manner.
