no ferrets, but have lots of cats running around my neighborhood that aren't mine, cats ok, but like them walking all over my car.

My sister had two ferrets and I did not find them to be an optimal pet. They are playful but nocturnal so they end up making a lot of noise when I am trying to sleep. My sisters were really smelly, even though she bathed them every day. She would let them have the run of the house and they would crawl under the covers at night and bite my toes...and not let go. They also liked to defecate in every corner of the house. They were not the most affectionate animals, like dogs, but did not need to be walked. My sister was always quick to point out that they were not rodents because they were carnivorous.  She also had a Guinea pig that was more to my liking but could project it's poop pellets about two feet outside of the cage.

I have known people who had pet ferrets.  There are a lot of ferrets running loose on the Big Island of Hawaii.  They brought them to the island years ago to help with the rat population.  Didn't work though.  Rats are nocturnal and ferrets play during the day.  You see ferrets running everywhere there!
Have a wonderful day!
