Some of it was my Mom and most of it was a friend that I lived next to after I married.

I had to cook. I do wish that I paid attention in high school; I wish I went that way. But no, home life was bizarre to me and  when you took the classes, you were slammed with the sissy goody-two-shoe, which now would not hurt me at all. I just ingredients together. Now, I wish I was a cook, one of my dream jobs, and that would of fit in my plan.

My mom taught me how to cook. As a child I always helped her in the kitchen.

My mom was a good cook, but she did not do much of it.

My sister took over fixing us supper, and I did the dishes.

I still drag my feet some times, but I love good home-made food, so I make myself do it and always so glad I did.

I even garden in the summer so I have a freezer full of good stuff.

My grandma was a good cook too, but she lived out of state and had to take a train to visit us.

Me it is usually "hunt and peck", but tastes good.

Spending time with my grandma in the kitchen growing up. Good Ol' Southern food that's bad for your health but good for your spirit.

I learned from watching my Momma. She was a wonderful cook. So many things she perfected that I still cannot. She made the best Chicken n Dumplings.  Mine are not even close to as good as hers were.
