HIllary won the majority, it is an outdated system of the electoral college that put him in. (Also it is funny that after going after Hillary as soon as the election was over they realised that it was the Senate that took away funds for more security at all the embassies.) It is not right that if you live in a highly populated area your vote is 1/2 and if you live in low population areas it is counted as a full vote, but that is the electoral college for you. We have him for 4 years if he can avoid impeachment. But the marches are to let him and the world know that we are watching what he does and what he says. The marches were all over the world not just in the USA. England has banned him from state visits, only visits as a private citizen. How can you say that his cabinet is worthy (secretary of Education saying some schools could have guns to keep the grizzle bears out?) or Bannon changing the way that committee works and throwing out the military advisors. The trouble makers at the walks are the same usual suspects that see an opportunity to cause problems and maybe get a new appliance while every one is distracted. Already some of the most respected Republicans are beginning to pull away from him and the way he is trying to go around the constitution. Also you do not earn a lot of respect by telling outright lies that anyone can fact check and having your staffers say it is true too. He is pulling out the playing a fool card a little to often, and it has only been 2 weeks. Again last night he was saying how great Putin is, look at what Russion under his leadership has been doing. It is not right to make fun of or even mentions his 10 year old son, but the others all were out talking for him and are adults. We will just have to wait and see if he is going to grow up and respect the office, try to unite the country, quit the name calling and get a little class.
The name calling needs to stop on both sides, but he seems to have brought out the worst in all sides of the political aisle. We all should try to calm down and not also do knee jerk reactions every time something happens. Let's make IT FUN and polite to post again.
FYI, the electoral college was begun as a way for everyone to have a say in choosing our representatives in Congress and the president. The case is made that more populated states would outnumber those in less populated states and they would never have a say. If you looked at the map after the election, only the east and west coast voted for Hillary but the rest of the country voted for Trump...yet most of those states are less populated than the coasts, especially the west coast. It's only because of the west coast that Hillary won the popular vote.
Because of hatred, the protests continue and they are making fools of themselves, especially the women's march. Ashley Judd and Madonna have insulted normal thinking women. Madonna threatened to bomb the White House. That's not normal and a federal crime. Ashley acted like a real sl*t with her talk. Those walking around dressed like vag****s were idiots. It was embarrassing to all women say the least!
The rioting is caused by the paid Anarchists. Watch the videos. Protests are pretty well normal but then here come those people dressed all in black to destroy private property. Only a handful but they are PAID to destroy. They are anarchists. One video I watched was one of the destroyers running with a black flag with the Anarchist symbol on it. Who pays them? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count..
Trump is NOT a politician and that's part of the problem. The opposition party, lobbyists and the main stream media didn't want him because he didn't take their bribes.
Our Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, wants equal education for all kids. She doesn't bow down to the teacher's unions who only care if the teachers push their paychecks higher. The schools are a mess. She believes in charter schools and the vouchers to allow those in poorer neighborhoods to make the choice to get a better education. She doesn't like Common Core (which is worse than the "new math" they pushed in the '70s).
You have to stop listening to the media who have bashed Trump since day 1. So he doesn't speak "politician," a/k/a smooth talker from both sides of his mouth. He has chosen those people he thinks will straighten this country out. He needs to be given a chance. if you want truth, you need to watch C-Span videos and watch Congress in action. You would soon learn who has been blocking any legislation for the past 8 years and continues to do so today.
