Do you like Apricots?
« on: January 09, 2017, 09:30:56 am »
Do you have a apricot tree? As a child, my grandma had fruit trees. Do you have recipes for this fruit? They are expensive at the store. I am deciding whether or not to get an apricot tree. Any thoughts on the pros and cons of getting an apricot tree? Have a gr8 day  :present:

I don't have an Apricot tree, but I like eating Apricots. Go on the internet and learn about Apricot trees and that might help you decide if you want to get one or not.

I like apricots but do not have any apricot trees.  Planted a peach blossom tree last year for the flowers and got some unexpected peaches this year!  However, they did not taste good at all..

I especially love dried apricots, but that's one tree that does not to well where I live. I do have a couple of apple trees.

I wish the fruit trees  did good here, i love them, but they blossom out so early and darned if we don't get a  freeze and  there goes the blossoms,  most of the fruit trees get hit. But most of the time on the other hand the pecans make it and now it is time to pick them up off the ground, but it has snowed and now have to wait until they are dry to start picking them up. if they are not dry they will  get  moldy.  But now that some has  asked about the Apricots  i think i will but some dried ones, love them.

I absolutely love fresh apricots. They are around for such a short time in the north east that I buy them every chance I get. I would love to have an apricot tree! dried apricots are good but do not compare to fresh! :rainbow: :peace:

Yeah, although they aren't my favorite, I prefer peaches. (Are peaches and apricots related?...I think so)

I don't think I've ever tried one. I'll have to give one a try sometime soon.

Not my favourite fruit.  I'll eat it dried though.
